Synopsis

 

The War on Meats was originally written as a theatre play and later adapted into a graphic novel. The story takes place sometime in the mid 22nd century, when the possession, traffic and consumption of meat products have been declared illegal activities.

 

The societies of the 22nd century have marked by an event that happened on 31 December 2099, known as the Big Information Black Out (or BIBO), when for 15 minutes (from 10m before the end of the century to 5m after) all the communication systems of the planet were shut down. When they were re-established, all the records stored and digitised throughout the century had been altered: leading to the emergence of thousands of different version of the past.

 

This is the story of a group of meat-dealers and of the dramas, vices and pleasures of the world that surrounds them.

 

The story is divided in two acts. Each act has five scenes (described in more detail in the following pages).
