Location: A Roman bathhouse (property of Mr. Elkin Villa)

This scene introduces the main characters of the story: Mr. Elkin Villa and Il Signore Encolpio Borsari. They are the leaders of one of the fastest growing meat-dealing cartels. There is a celebration taking place at one of Mr Villa’s properties. The stage is divided in two. On the top floor, inside Mr. Villa’s office, Elkin Villa and Senator Yesid Billegas are waiting for Il Signore Borsari, who is on the bottom floor (where the bathhouse is located), entertaining Mr. Villa’s guests. Amongst these guests are a group of old acquaintances from the days when Encolpio and Elkin studied together at the university. This group include two of their former classmates –Miss Ana Williams and Mr. John Arango- and one of their old teachers: Professor Velandia.
